Debbie Johnson - Beginner and Intermediate Watercolor - and Drawing
Debbie grew up in Michigan where she was a commercial artist and technical illustrator for many years. She taught in Michigan for several years before she and her husband moved to the Melbourne area in 2008.
Debbie specializes in Beginners in both drawing and watercolor. She takes her student s through a logical process, teaching them how to develop watercolors from the most basic concepts, demonstrating each step of the process.
In her drawing classes,
several innovative drawing methods are taught to help strengthen your eye-hand coordination. Demonstrations by instructor and hands-on experimentation with several different drawing mediums. Students will explore composition, problem solving, and learn simple ways to correctly render realistic, believable images.

Lolly Walton - Creativity 101
In this six-week course you will be exploring the various watercolor techniques to help take you from copyist to artist. You will be leaving the comfort zone of photographs to explore fresh new ways to represent your subjects. Each student will work independently (using different techniques) to express their individual uniqueness on paper. Monday evenings March 8th to April 12th - 6 - 9pm. All that is needed is enthusiasm and the supplies in your art bag. Instructor will supply items to be used for special watercolor techniques.

Vicki Damon - Silk Painting Workshops
Silk painter, Vicki Damon, is now offering the first hand painted silk workshops at the Art and Antique Studio, in the Arts District of downtown Eau Gallie.
Silk painting is a very versatile medium in which you can create silk scarves, wearable art, wall hangings, pillows and much more.
All you need to participate is to reserve one of the dates and bring some ideas for your personal designs and a big imagination. Designs will be available at the workshop for those who need a little inspiration.
Workshops are approximately 4 hours. Payment and pre-registration are required (cash or check only, please). Contact Vicki or visit the gallery to sign up.

All materials will be provided.
You will learn the use of resist, French dyes, different types of silks, and painting techniques. You will also take away with you your own hand painted silk scarf, and two silk squares of your own design.

Fun Night: Art Critique and Art Talk Nite - 6:00 - 9:00 PM

Bring a painting for the critique or just take part in the interesting discussions each month. First half of the evening will be dedicated to critiquing your paintings and the second half of the evening will be dedicated to discussions about art, art marketing, framing, composition and a lot more. February’s topic will be “How to do a critique”. Topics will be different each month. Subjects posted on the Bulletin Board and on the web for each month’s discussions.
We can only critique 15 paintings. The first to sign up will fill the spots. Art Talk limited to 20 artists. Pizza and refreshments will be served. Must r.s.v.p. to participate.

Spend time with other artists, make new friends in the art community, work on your own projects, see what others are working on, and learn from fellow artists. No instructor.
