Connie Marshall – Watercolors

High on a hillside overlooking the Susquehanna River near my home town of Port Deposit,  Maryland, my love for art took root. During my teenage years there I studied under Paul Honore, a well known muralist, illustrator and print maker,  studying oil painting.  After marriage and children we moved to California, as my husband was an engineer in aerospace. I continued studying oil painting with Narcissa Perrin and became a member of a small gallery there. Her life adventures brought her to Florida where she discovered the beauty and transparency of watercolor that lends itself so well to the light and airy colors of this area.  She studied under several well-known artists and local art teachers and has accumulated many awards over the years both here and in California.  The aim of her works is to portray the essence and feeling of the piece with a story, impressionistically rather than realistically.
